You are always a student, never a master. You have to keep moving forward. ~ Conrad Hall
This quote says it all to me. I want to keep climbing those mountains in life! In my career as an educator, I strive not to become static or disengaged. It’s all about constant learning and self improvement. If I expect that from my students, then I must expect it from myself.
My next educational mountain is technology in my classroom as an engaging, enriching resource.
Technology in K-12 education is not optional anymore. We must embrace new ways of discovering, researching, presenting and communicating with not just our little classroom but the global community. We must teach the children of today to think critically about what they see on the internet, and the innovations in technology that will inevitably continue to come our way. They must be critical thinkers and problem solvers in a much different society than the one we grew up in and we need to strive to lead them towards it responsibly.
